The head & nature Online - Head Shop is one of the oldest German web only head shops and offers a fine selection of pipes, rolling papers and smoking accessories. We strive to offer you the best products at the lowest price - we've 20 years of experience in shipping glassware and other demanding products and will make sure that your orders arrive safely and quickly.
Our headshop department has smoking accessories, paraphernalia and all kinds of useful stuff that is part of smoking culture. Papers, pipes made from glass, acrylic, bamboo or metal, joint sticks, chillums, one hitters and many more - everything you can use to smoke. And of course we aso have other headshop products like grinders to chop your herbs, digital scales to weigh them and zip bags for storage.

Meanwhile, since many smokers are discovering new means of enjoying their favourite tobacco and herbal blends, we've also expanded our classic head shop range and added snuff accessories like snorting tubes and snuff bullets.

For those who want to make sure that they have not ingested controlled substances by accident, we also offer a wide range of drug control tests.

What is a Head Shop?

The first head shop in the modern sense was probably in San Francisco, in the bohemian district Haight-Ashbury. Its name was "Psychedelic Shop" and it sold all sorts of accessories that the hippie counterculture required for everyday use: glass pipes, rolling paper, psychedelic music, incense, colorful scarves, paraphernalia of all kinds. A few months later the "Head Shop" opened in New York, which gave that kind of store a name.

But where does this name come from? Some think it is derived from the dead heads, die-hard Grateful Dead fans, others point to the terms "pot head" and "acid head" for users of hallucinogenic substances.

Today head shops still sell - partly out of nostalgia, partly as a statement - incense, batik cloths and Bob Marley shirts, but they are often rather "smoke shops" - stores for special smoking accessories.
